MY STORY
A few years ago, I genuinely thought I was losing myself.
Mentally, physically and emotionally.
I was in my late forties—a busy mum of five adult children, a wife, a homemaker, a hands-on grandmother, and I was in the peak of my career.
At first, the changes were subtle.
Time went by, and these subtle changes became impossible to ignore.
I was living with exhaustion, overwhelm, heightened anxiety, changing moods, changing body, digestive issues, headaches, migraines and increasing mental lag.
I couldn’t understand what was happening to me.
Day after day, I kept pushing on.
I’d somehow convinced myself it would all eventually pass.
But it didn’t.
The more I pushed myself, the more symptoms appeared.
The more I ignored them, the worse they became.
Eventually, something had to give.
I did…

“This was one of the scariest times of my life.“
Because it seemed that overnight, the strong, capable, wise, and courageous woman I had always been simply vanished… Leaving an empty shell of the woman I once was.
My whole life just stopped. I was completely bedbound and unable to care for myself, let alone my family.
Over the following year I saw doctors… I saw specialists… I saw naturopaths.
Yet, time and time again, I was told that everything looked “fine” or “normal.”
How on earth could that be?
I wasn’t fine, and I certainly wasn’t normal.
After walking out of my Doctor’s surgery once again in tears, because yet again my tests had come back as normal.
I felt like giving up, I’d never felt so helpless and alone in my entire life.
I remember thinking, “Surely I can’t be the only woman this has happened to.”
That’s Why I’m Here
Little did I know, that I had completely burned myself out, and had pushed way too hard for way too long, but I was also experiencing one of the biggest physical and neurological transitions of my life…
I had been so busy that I didn’t even realise that I was in menopause!
The sad part is, I had to fight for those answers…
For many of us women, most of the answers are reduced to just a handful of familiar phrases.
“It’s just your age.”
“It’s just menopause.”
“It’s just stress.”
I believe women deserve far better conversations than that.
This was the moment that I realised there was a much bigger gap than I had ever imagined.
It wasn’t just a gap in healthcare.
It was a huge resounding gap in understanding.
Why is it that women are expected to navigate one of life’s biggest transitions without ever being taught what was happening inside their own bodies.
Are we just expected to somehow understand all the changes that nobody has ever explained?
I created HER LIFE ALIGNED because I never wanted another woman to feel as lost and alone as I did.
Because I know what it feels like to be searching for answers while slowly losing trust in your own body and mind. I wanted a place I wish had existed when I needed it the most.
A place where women feel seen.
A place where you are welcome to start wherever you are.
A place to begin understanding why your body is changing.
And a place to begin understanding what is changing in your brain.
Because from my experience, understanding how my hormones, metabolism, nervous system, nutrition, stress, sleep and lived experiences all interact with one another, changed everything.
I could then understand all my “why’s” that I’d been searching for. And only then could I discover my “how’s” that worked for me and my life.
Understanding my body, my mind and my life, freed me from all the fear, confusion and shame around what I was experiencing.
Little by little…
I began to trust myself again.
Because understanding changes everything.
